Northern New Mexico’s vibrant art scene has been thriving for generations. Enjoy some of the extraordinary galleries and museums in our area:
El Rancho de Las Golondrinas
Experience Colonial life at the living history museum, El Rancho de Las Golondrinas (literally “the ranch of the swallows”). . Guides clothed in the styles of the times discuss and illustrate how life was lived on the frontier in early New Mexico.
The village of Chimayo, about thirty minutes north of Santa Fe is the start of the “High Road to Taos” and is believed by many to be the site of miraculous healings. Pilgrims still travel to the Santuario de Chimayó, originally built in 1816, some seeking healing and some simply enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.
Walk in the footsteps of Georgia O’Keefe at Ghost Ranch. The property is open for hiking most days and frequently hosts classes and seminars that are open to the public. Please view their website for details.
